Matcha

Bringing 900 years of historic Japanese matcha to the world.

Around 2,700 years ago, in 660 B.C., Japan was founded, and today February 11 remains a national holiday known as National Foundation Day. Over its long history, Japan has created and preserved a rich array of cultural traditions, often adapting technologies and customs from abroad within its own philosophy and environment.

Tea, introduced from China in the 9th century, spread as a medicinal beverage by the 12th century. By the 14th century, the artistic value of tea utensils and tea ceremony tools became important, and tea gatherings became a cultural fixture. Matcha uniquely developed in Japan, evolving beyond a simple drink. In the 16th century, Sen no Rikyū transformed the extravagant tea ceremonies of the time into the minimalist and spiritually profound wabi-cha, elevating matcha into a philosophical and cultural experience, laying the foundation for Japan’s distinctive tea ceremony culture.

Today, matcha is gaining global popularity, fueled by health-conscious trends, and is being embraced in ways that even many Japanese had not imagined. Delightfully, matcha is evolving from a Japanese cultural tradition into a beloved part of the local cultures of many countries.

At our company, we fully support businesses that want to bring matcha and other Japanese products overseas, helping them establish not just a business, but a lasting cultural presence.

“Added Value ,  Quality ,  Trust and Speed” delivered by trade support professionals.
